The National Rose Society of Australia, the Rose Society of WA and the Floral Art Society of WA combined to hold the 2023 National Championships in Western Australia at the South Perth Community Centre.

 

This very busy weekend saw a hall full of beautiful roses and displays which were admired by many local people and also the Eastern States delegates who were able to attend.

​

Congratulations and thankyou to everyone who made the effort and entered roses into the show.  We ended up with 23 EXHIBITORS in the 2023 Spring Show including 4 children.

​

The total number of ENTRIES recorded was 205 including 40 entries in the Floral Art section.

​

The National Awards and Victorian State Award were presented at the Gala Dinner held at the Pagoda Resort on Saturday 21st October.  WA Major Awards, Champion of Show Awards and all prize money was presented to the recipients at the November 2023 General meeting.

​

Special acknowledgement needs to be passed onto Lee and his team who set the hall up on Friday morning and also to our Chief Steward, Alan Short who managed to make room for all the entries; to Jenny and her many helpers in the Kitchen who were run off their feet providing beautiful food for the weekend, including lunch for the judges and also the Eastern States delegates after their AGM.
